Fresh Salsa Recipe

We had a really relaxed weekend. It’s been a little while since I’ve been able to say that! With so many projects and work/church events happening lately I’ve been feeling a little stretched in every direction. There’s a season for everything though right? Right now we’re in a busy season and soon we’ll have a season of rest. God works things out the right way every time and I’m so thankful for that!

Anyway, I was able to have some fun in the kitchen on Friday night and thought I would share one of my favorite things with you!! Salsa! I think if there was nothing left in the world to eat but chips and salsa I would be perfectly content for the rest of my life! It’s seriously my weakness, I just can’t resist it! I’ve tried a few different fresh salsa recipes over the years, because salsa from a jar is a crime, and I’ve settle on this one as my favorite! I hope you enjoy!

Fresh Salsa

  • 6-8 Roma Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1-2 Jalapeño’s
  • 1 Tbs Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 c Cilantro
  • 3 Tbs Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Seasoning Salt

Directions:

  1. Quarter the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeño.
  2. Depending on the level of spiciness you want remove the seeds of the jalapeño.
  3. Chop about a 1/4 cup of cilantro from the bunch.

4. Add all ingredients to the blender or food processor and pulse until finely chopped. For a chunkier salsa don’t add all ingredients at once. Slowly add them in and pulse for just a few seconds in between.

There you have it! Making your own salsa is just so easy and tastes oh so good!! I seriously just love it! Can you tell? I created a printable for this recipe so you can download it and print it out to add to your recipe box! Not that you’ll need it after making it a couple of times, with so few ingredients it’s an easy one to memorize. Especially if you feel the way I do about salsa. Seriously I think I have a problem! Have a great week friends!
